John Gade, born in 1997 in Cannes, is a French pianist, violinist and composer. He studied with Amédée Briggen at the Conservatoire de Nice, then with Olivier Gardon and Denis Pascal at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He studied with Frank Braley and Haruko Ueda. He studied at the Buchmann-Mehta School of music in Tel Aviv, Israel in the class of Emanuel Krasovsky.
He won the 1st prize at the "Virtuoses du cœur" competition in Paris in 2017, was laureate of the Hauts de France international competition in 2018, 1st prize at the Claude Bonneton international competition in Sète, won the grand prize at the Académie Ravel in Saint-Jean de Luz in 2019, as well as the Alain Marinaro grand prize at the Collioure international competition in 2019, 2nd prize at the Albert Roussel international competition. He is pianist ambassador of the Banque Populaire de Méditéranée Foundation 2021.
He has attended master-classes with Philippe Bianconi, Bertrand Chamayou, Ivry Gitlis, Misha Kats, Khatia Buniatishvili, and is regularly advised and guided by the pianist Bruno Rigutto.
