THE AUDITIONS

Conservatory of Music, Roubaix

November 16-21, 2025

 

Auditions will take place from November 16 to 21 in the main auditorium of the Roubaix Conservatory.

  • 80 rue de Lille in Roubaix

  • Metro line 2, Roubaix-Charles de Gaulle station

 

All auditions are free and no reservation is required.

Detailed program of the auditions

 

First round

  • Sunday, November 16 • 10:00 a.m. - 6:05 p.m.

16 candidates will perform a 20-minute free program including a post-1944 study.

 

Opening hours: 10am - 10:25am - 10:50am - 11:25am - 11:50am - 12:15pm - 2:05pm - 2:30pm - 2:55pm - 3:30pm - 3:55pm - 4:20pm - 4:55pm - 5:20pm - 5:45pm

 

 

  • Monday, November 17 • 10:00 a.m. – 6:05 p.m.

16 candidates will perform a 20-minute free program including a post-1944 study.

 

Opening hours: 10am - 10:25am - 10:50am - 11:25am - 11:50am - 12:15pm - 2:05pm - 2:30pm - 2:55pm - 3:30pm - 3:55pm - 4:20pm - 4:55pm - 5:20pm - 5:45pm

 

The results of the first round will be announced around 7 p.m.

 

 

Second round

  • Tuesday, November 18 • 10:00 a.m. – 6:20 p.m.

6 candidates will perform a free recital program including an unpublished contemporary work written by composer and organist Thierry Escaich.

 

Opening hours: 10 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. - 1:20 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - 4:10 p.m. - 5:20 p.m.

 

 

  • Wednesday, November 19 • 10:00 a.m. – 6:20 p.m.

6 candidates will perform a free recital program including an unpublished contemporary work written by composer and organist Thierry Escaich.

 

Opening hours: 10 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. - 1:20 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - 4:10 p.m. - 5:20 p.m.

 

The results of the second round will be announced around 7 p.m.

 

 

Finale with the Orchestre de Picardie conducted by David Niemann

  • Friday, November 21 • 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

5 candidates will perform a concerto of their choice from the following list:

• Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Opus 58

• Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major K488

• Chopin - Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Opus 21

• Saint Saëns - Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Opus 22

• Schumann - Piano Concerto in A minor opus 54

 

Opening hours: 2 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. - 5 p.m.

 

The awards ceremony will take place around 6:30 p.m.
