Reserved for pianists aged 18 to 30

​

Accredited since its creation in 2017 by the Alink Argerich Foundation, the Etoiles du Piano is an international piano competition for pianists aged 18 to 30, of all nationalities.

​

Organized in Hauts-de-France, it aims to promote the talent of musicians at the start of their career. A real springboard thanks to the recitals offered to the winners in festivals and renowned places in Hauts-de-France, the Etoiles du Piano also strives to make music accessible to the widest public by offering cultural mediation actions.

To make this International Excellence Competition a meeting that is as humanistic as it is friendly, great importance is given to welcoming young candidates when they come: they are all staying with host families.

Thefourthedition of the Etoiles du Piano will take place from November 12 to 18, 2023.

The auditions will take place from November 13 to 17, 2023 at the Roubaix conservatory and the Gala evening will be held on November 18, 2023 at the Colisée theater in Roubaix.

The final is organized with the Orchester de Picardie

​

Global prize of €45,000, including 5 prizes including the 1st prize of €20,000

​

Recital engagements 

​

For the 1st prize, Concerto with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Brasov (Romania)

​

Ecological commitment with the carbon offsetting of candidates' travel.

​

The week of auditions takes place at the Roubaix Conservatory which offers the Étoiles du Piano a magnificent setting, a true alliance of traditional northern brickwork and a majestic modern glass roof. 

​

For this4th édition, the Orchester Philharmonique de Picardie (national orchestra in the Hauts-de-France region) under the musical direction of Simon Proust will accompany the candidates selected to play the final. He will also be part of the gala evening to be held at the Colisée theater in Roubaix.

​

The Piano Stars competition, with the Lille Piano(s)Festival, the Muse&Piano festival in the Louvre-Lens, the Piano folies festival in Le Touquet, the Saint-Riquier festival and the Laon festival contribute to making the Hauts-de-France region a prestigious venue for piano music.
